Question 1: Does the Toilet Friend eliminate ALL toilet odours?
Answer: Existing users of our systems in homes, offices, small businesses and restaurants have found that their Toilet Friends have completely eliminated odours, thus creating a more pleasant environment.

Question 2: Is there any discomfort, or dangers caused by the suction/extraction process?
Answer: No. The amount of suction is only enough to extract the minute airborne particles. Users of the system state that as it is automatic and silent, it is the only way to go.

Question 3: Does the Toilet Friend remove airborne germs from the toilet bowl?
Answer: Yes. Tests similar to commercial wind tunnel tests, have shown that the airflow created by the Toilet Friend pulls airborne smoke from the toilet bowl into its system, preventing the smoke from escaping during use. Microscopic water droplets carrying germs will be harmlessly removed in the same manner.

Question 4: Does the Toilet Friend require special cleaning or maintenance?
Answer: No, there are no additional cleaning or maintenance requirements for a Toilet Friend installation.

Question 5: Are any accessories or supplies required for the Toilet Friend?
Answer: No. There are no batteries, filters or chemicals required for the Toilet Friend.

Question 6: Where does the air from the toilet bowl go?
Answer: The air travels through the main outlet pipe with the suction created by the Toilet Friend.

Question 7: Does the Toilet Friend require addtional fans to remove the odour and bacteria?
Answer: No. All the odour and bacteria are pulled through to the outlet pipe, reducing the need for any ceiling or window extraction fans which pull the airborne bacteria past the user of the toilet.

Question 8: Does the Toilet Friend look like a plumbing fixture when it's installed?
Answer: Yes. The flex tube that connects the motor to the exisiting main pipe is one inch wide, and 15 inches long and can be installed on the side of the toilet that is away from view. The passive activator, that automatically switches the Toilet Friend unit on and off with each visit, is the only non plumbing item fitted.

Question 9: Can the passive activator be excluded from the installation?
Answer: Yes. This would require that the unit run on a permanent basis. As the unit runs on 12 volts, it will not lead to a noticable increase in electrical costs.
